Come to the next meeting of the Co-op’s Food Justice Committee! We’re working hard to reach out to underserved communities and increase access to healthy food for all, and we need YOU on board. Come share your insights and ideas and help us build a community-owned grocery store that is much more than just a supermarket.
Please RSVP, and we’ll see you on Feb. 5 in the Cullen Room at the Maynard Public Library. Let’s do this!
We’re honored to present the Co-op to the Women’s Business Network on Thursday, Feb. 7 at 6:30pm! Founded almost 30 years ago, the WBN supports women in business and professional practices, providing guidance and advice to women who manage a small business or are interested in starting one.
We’ll get the “pre-meeting” started, as our Director of Communications, Lorne Bell, shares the ins and outs of the Assabet Village Co-op Market, our locally sourced, community-owned grocery store coming to the area. He’ll talk about the positive impact Co-ops have on local businesses, the environment, and the community. And of course, he’ll stick around to answer all your questions. Take info with you or become a Co-op Owner on the spot!
All are welcome to this meeting. Come hear about the Co-op and learn about the WBN, and we’ll see you on Feb. 7!
Think Spring! The Co-op will be tabling at the 9th annual Framingham Earth Day Festival, Saturday, April 27, 11-3 on Framingham Centre Common (between Edgell Road and Vernon Street). Bring the whole family for live music, awesome local food vendors, art from local artists, kids activities, and more! And of course, stop by our table to hear all about our locally sourced, community-owned grocery store. You can become an Owner on the spot!
We’ll see you at Earth Day!
