Purchase tickets for the Assabet Village Co-op Market‘s Wild Foraging Class at the Great Hill Recreation Area, behind the South Acton Fire Station! Foraging Instructor Rachel Goclawski will take us through the woods to find medicinal herbs and flowers, nutritious buds, stalks, roots and greens. She’ll teach us how to identify, preserve, and prepare our finds. Bring a camera and/or notebook so you can document your finds, collection bags (plastic), and a knife or shears. Wear comfortable walking shoes or boots as the terrain may be uneven or muddy. Insect spray and sunscreen are recommended.

Wanna learn how to keep your own backyard chickens?!
On Saturday, April 6, at 10am join the Co-op for Chicken Chat with our friends at Great Road Farm and Garden in Littleton! Ask all your chicken farming questions, and all attendees will enjoy 10% off all chicken supplies (the farm has everything you need to build your own chicken coop this spring!).
While you’re there, stop by our Assabet Village Co-op Market table to hear about our locally sourced, community-owned grocery store (target location: Maynard!). With more than 1,000 member-Owners on board and our site search underway, it’s a great time to become a Co-op Owner!
