Giant puppets, stilters, dancers, music, costumes, banners, community groups, families, and friends parade down Main and Monument Streets.
River Ceremony, 11:30-Noon
Minute Man National Historic Park, at The Old North Bridge
Singing, drumming, and the launching of Earth Floats at the water’s edge.
Arts & Environment Festival, Noon-2pm

Come to a DELICIOUS chocolate tasting tour at Goodnow Farms Chocolate in Sudbury! Goodnow’s owners, Tom and Monica, will show us how they hand-craft award-winning chocolate using single-origin cacao beans sourced from Mexican and Central American farmers. Their direct sourcing ensures that farmers are fairly compensated and that all farming practices are sustainable.
Attendees are encouraged to taste the chocolate (as if you needed any arm twisting), and everyone will go home with a chocolate bar of your choice!

Join us for a behind-the-scenes tour of the award-winning Jack’s Abby Craft Lagers in Framingham, Sunday, May 20 from 12-12:45pm! We’ll check out all the action, from mash to hopback to fermentation. Jack’s Abby has won national and international awards for its craft lagers, all brewed right here in our own backyard. After the tour, purchase some fresh brew to go and grab some delicious lunch in the brewery’s famous beer hall!

Purchase tickets for the Assabet Village Co-op Market‘s Wild Foraging Class at the Great Hill Recreation Area, behind the South Acton Fire Station! Foraging Instructor Rachel Goclawski will take us through the woods to find medicinal herbs and flowers, nutritious buds, stalks, roots and greens. She’ll teach us how to identify, preserve, and prepare our finds. Bring a camera and/or notebook so you can document your finds, collection bags (plastic), and a knife or shears. Wear comfortable walking shoes or boots as the terrain may be uneven or muddy. Insect spray and sunscreen are recommended.

Bring your broken items – mendable clothing, lamps, small appliances, computers and electronics, bikes, toys, jewelry, outdoor power equipment, and dull blades – and work with a volunteer to repair them! The help is 100% free – only pay for parts, if needed!
